Spoiling Your Pup: Bark Box Review

Ramblings Thoughts, Bark Box, Review, Dog, Dog Treats, Dog Toys, Subscription Box

There are a bunch of us out there that are pup parents.  You know who you are...the ones that treat your pups like your children.  They get to sleep with you or have a nice comfy bed of their own, you buy the healthiest dog food you can and you make sure your pup has treats and toys to chew on.  I know I am one of those people.

In January of this year I brought home my adorable Kioki.  He is a teacup pomeranian and is just a ball of fluff and energy.  I love how he smiles and plays with my mother's dog (a 150 pound German Shepherd/lab).  He is a sweet boy that loves attention but is a bit of a drama king.

With him being a purebred, I especially wanted to keep him healthy and happy.  Also, with him being a puppy I didn't want all my shoes and clothes torn up from his chewing, so I would go out and buy treats and toys for him to enjoy.  The only problem is he would much rather play with the cat toys and put his toys in 'safe keeping'.

So, 2 months ago I had the opportunity  (financially) to get a Bark Box.  I wanted to see what all the hype was about and I did want to spoil my little boy.

When ordering the box, they ask you what size your pup is...and because kioki is small...obviously I choose small and it costed $30 for the box.  It came in a matter of no time and had 2 toys and 3 treats in it.  And let me just tell you, Kioki goes crazy for just the box because of all the smells coming from it.

If you want to hear my full review, see what actually came in the box and see how Kioki reacts...click on the video below.

Creamy Mushroom Chicken Breast

Click here to review my disclosure policy!  This post does contain affiliate links!

With the cold weather upon us, there is nothing better than something warm and comforting to eat to finish up with day.  I love comfort food, but I can't always have stew or mac and cheese....it would all go to my hips and thighs.  I also don't always want to spend a bunch of time in the kitchen prepping, cooking and cleaning up after, just for a dinner.

With all this in mind, I still need to find meals that warm me up from a day being out in the cold weather without requiring too many steps.  With my craving for chicken due to my little bundle of joy growing inside of me, I stay thinking about different ways to make chicken.

That is when I remembered that so many people make a cream of mushroom chicken and I never tried it....I mean I have made chicken breast with sauteed mushroom but never have I cooked chicken with cream of mushroom soup.  It just seemed so simple to me.  Well, I wanted to try it, so here is my twist on creamy mushroom chicken breast.

Ramblings Thoughts, Pregnancy, PCOS, Miscarriage, Mumma Journey, Motherhood

So, many of y'all have read my journey in life with PCOS (click here for that article) and even read about my PSA on suggesting people to stop asking females the baby question (click here for the article).  Every female has their own story about becoming a mother, some stories tend to be a lot shorter than others.  I know I personally had jealousy for all those women that said it was easy for them to get pregnant or those other women that seemed to get pregnant every time they blinked and yet still didn't want to be a mother.  Of course the only reason I was jealous is because it wasn't easy for me to get pregnant and when I did, I miscarried.

Ramblings Thoughts, Pregnancy, PCOS, Miscarriage, Mumma Journey, MotherhoodEver since I can remember I wanted to have children.  I loved being around babies and children.  I just wanted to have little ones that looked like me to care for.  However, no matter how much I wanted children of my own, I didn't get any.  I used that time to immerse myself in lives of my family and their children.  My cousin had a baby and I ended up being there for him.  I was the one that got him hooked on SpongeBob and whipped cream as a treat.  Then my bother had his son and even to this day, he is the apple of my eye.

Even though I had children in my life, I still wanted children of my own.  When I did get pregnant, I would miscarry right soon after finding out I was pregnant.  I would always chuck it up wrong timing, wrong person.

Over the summer this year, I found this great guy.  We hit it off really well and soon I found myself spending more and more time with him.  Next, I knew I was feeling off and realized I was late.  I didn't want to think too much into it because by now I have given up on the thought of being a mother.  I ended up talking to my guy and of course that is when he got me a pregnancy test.  We definitely were not planning a pregnancy, however, here we are and as of today I am a little over 11 weeks pregnant!!!!

I am super excited because I have made it past the usual time that I have miscarried before.  I want to share my journey with y'all to help other mothers in the similar situation as mine.  I want to share any information that I found out to work.  Here is my pregnancy journey, come join me. Below is my first ultrasound at 9 weeks.

Roasted Parm Brussels Sprouts

Now, I will be the first one to admit that eating healthy or eating your vegetables is not something I enjoy all the time....I would much rather eat a cheeseburger with loaded cheese fries or ice cream.  But if you are trying to eat healthier, I like I am, you have to step away from the ice cream and cheeseburgers and eat more fruit and vegetables.

I haven't had an real issue with fruit...I like them all.  Of course there are ones that I prefer over others...such as WATERMELON.  But when it comes to vegetables, there are a few that I just do not like.  Brussels sprouts is definitely a vegetable that I do not like.  People used to tell me that if you like cabbage you will like brussels sprouts....boy were they SO WRONG!!!

With that being said, I am a firm believer that you have to experiment with food.  Just because I do not like brussels sprouts boiled, that doesn't mean I would not like them cooked some other way with different seasonings.  Hence, my recipe for y'all to try

Roasted Parm Brussels Sprouts

Maybelline Great Lash Royal Blue Mascara

Ramblings Thoughts, Influenster, Maybelline, Mascara, Great Lash, Makeup, Review

I know I am not the only woman out there that loves her makeup.  Now, I do not have a huge suitcase of makeup, let alone even a drawer.  Even though every once in a while I will get in this mood where I want to change up my makeup and add some more to my look, I always end up with going back to wearing only 3 makeup products on a regular....eyebrow liner, mascara and eyeliner.

Through the years of always sticking with these three products, I have tried many different brands to find ones that I just cannot live without.  Not too long ago, I found the mascara that I cannot live without...thanks to INFLUENSTER (click here to check it out).

So, I was hesitant at first when I was asked by Influenster to try another mascara.  But I did notice that it was not in my go-to color of black, plus the fact that I would get to try it for free helped make my decision of trying it with an open mind.

I must say I do chuckle at seeing the actual tube of Maybelline Great Lash.  I say that because I remember when I was a little girl, sitting on the toilet (not using it though), watching my mom great ready or as she called it, 'putting her face on'.  Now, this is back in the 80's and wouldn't you know it that she had a bottle of Maybelline Great Lash mascara and it looks the same.  I guess that is one way for consumers to recognize a product....by keeping their product packaging the same.  I think it is cute....a little reminder of my childhood when I would watch my mom get ready.

So, knowing that I already have a go-to mascara, what did I think about this one?  Do it get my approval?  Do I like the royal blue color?  Well, what are you waiting for....click the video below to watch my review.

If you would like to pick some up for yourself Amazon has them for cheap and you don't even have to leave the house!!!
