Life-long Debt Just for Higher Education

So, I am extremely frustrated and I must say this is what fires me up to create a discussion post....(I love discussing things that I am passionate about and I want to have a conversation about these topics)....anyways, for those of you that do not know, I spent the last five and half years to gain my bachelor's and master's degree in psychology.

Now, I did not go to college right out of high school because I was not sure what I wanted out of college, so I lived a little and finally after having a personal experience with another person (who helped me discover my true calling).  I decided that I wanted to help abused children....I know what it is like and even though I had a supportive mother and stepfather, I know that not every one is that lucky and I still had issues and I want to be there for those who were abused.  I want to make a difference in the youth of today's lives and I want to make sure that youth has a voice!!!

I started college in 2008 for my bachelor's degree in child psychology and I made the decision to take all my courses online so that I can go to school and work at the same time.  For the majority of the time that is just what I full time and go to school and I managed to have high grades, so much so that I made the President's list (straight A's) several times and the Dean's list (A's and B's) the rest of the times.  Then in 2012, I finished my degree and received my bachelor's degree in child psychology.

One month after finishing my bachelor's degree, I started classes for my master's program for family psychology.  I was able to finish my program last year (2013) with a 3.9 GPA.  I say all of this because now that it has been 6 months since I finished my master's program (and I haven't started any other education program) my loans are due and I just received the paperwork from my loan company a few days ago mapping out the payment arrangement.  According to the paperwork, if I make the payments on time every month, for 10 years, I will have paid $150,000 and that is about $1500 monthly payments (on top of the $1200 monthly living expenses that I have to pay).  I just do not understand why after all the hard work that I put into gain a higher education (with my high grades), I did not receive one grant or scholarship to help the financial burden, besides the Pell grant I received during my bachelor's program but not during my master's program.  I am so worried that because I chose to further my education and hopefully make a difference in some child's life that I am possibly going to have a life-long debt and I am not even 30 years old.

What are your thoughts?  Did you go to college and have outrageous loan payments?  Or do you know of any programs that could help me?  Please join the discussion....

Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes

Ramblings Thoughts, Review, Beauty, Lashes, Natural Look, Kiss, Influenster,

Well, this is the last review involving my lovely J'Adore Voxbox from Influenster gave me in exchange for my review.  So.....I must start off by saying that I have never used fake lashes....I just never liked the idea of added more lashes to my eyes....let's face it, I have seen some of those reality tv personalities that go over the top with the fake lashes.  It always looked extremely gaudy.  I like my looks just the way they are and the only way that I would improve is by adding a little bit of makeup.  I guess I am just not that girly....

Ramblings Thoughts Kiss Looks So Natural LashesWith all this in mind, I was really dreading having to try these lashes.  But once again I was pleasantly surprised and I am glad that I did try KISS's lashes.  Click here to check out my demo on how to apply them (keeping in mind that I am new to applying fake lashes).

Ramblings Thoughts Kiss Looks So Natural LashesNow, I must say that I love how easy application was.  It literally is only 3 steps and removing the lashes is not painful at all.  I also have to mention that the overall look after applying the lashes looked really wasn't over the top and it looks natural.  I do have to say that the only downfall is that once you remove the lashes there are still some residual glue left on your lash line and in may require some attention (otherwise there will be a black residue left on the upper lid).
