French Onion Dip Stroganoff

French Onion Dip Stroganoff

What you need

1/4 c. butter
3 medium onions, thinly sliced
1 tsp. minced garlic
6 oz. mushrooms
1 tsp. oil
All purpose flour
Black pepper and Salt
1.5 lb round steak, thinly sliced
1 1/2 c. beef broth
1/2 tsp. worchestershire sauce
3 c. egg noodles
2/3 c. sour cream
1-1 1/2 c. shredded swiss cheese

1.  Melt butter over medium heat in a deep pan.  Add onions and garlic, cooking until onions are light brown, about 5-8 minutes.

2.  Add mushroom and cook until browned, about 4-6 minutes.  Remove onion, mushroom mixture from pan.

3.  Heat oil of medium-high heat.  Dust steak strips with flour and seasoning.

4.  Sautee meat for about 7-9 minutes or until done.  Add steak to the onion mixture (in a side dish).  Clean the pan and dry.

5.  Add broth and worchestershire sauce to pan and bring to a low simmer over medium high heat.  Add steak mixture and continue to simmer for about 8 minutes.

6.  While that is cooking, cook egg noodle as directed on package and drain when cooked.

7.  Turn the mixture down to low heat.  Add sour cream to steak and broth mixture, along with the egg noodles.  Mix thoroughly.

8.  Top with an even layer of cheese, cover and melt cheese; about 5 minutes.  Enjoy!!!
Thank you, Host the Toast!
