Fire Chili

Fire Chili

What you need:

2 lb. ground beef
4 tbsp. oil
1 medium green pepper
1 medium yellow onion, minced
3 tbsp. minced garlic
2 jalapeno peppers, chopped
2 habanero peppers, chopped
3 tbsp. chili powder
2 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground black pepper
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
46 oz. tomato juice
28 oz. diced tomato
15 oz. tomato sauce
16 oz. kidney beans, drained and rinsed
16 oz. pinto beans, drained and rinsed

*Serve with shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream*

Directions:

1.  Brown ground beef until meat is no longer pink.  Drain and transfer to a pot and set aside.

2.  In the same pan, add oil and heat over medium high heat.  Add onion, green pepper, garlic, jalapeno and habanero pepper and cook for about 5 minutes until onions are tender and mixture is fragrant.

3.  Remove onion mixture from heat and add chili powder, cumin, sugar, oregano, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.  Stir until combined.

4.  Add your seasoned onion mixture to pot with the hamburger, then add tomato juice, diced tomato, tomato sauce, kidney beans and pinto beans.  Stir and cook on medium-low heat for 3-4 hours.  Enjoy!!!
